This standard has to do with the discoveries and inventions of Gregor Mendal to show the heredity with devices like Punnett Squares and Pedigrees.

- Heredity : the biological process responsible for passing on physical traits from one generation to another.
- Genetics - study of heredity.
- dominant : genetic trait that is expressed when its allele is homozygous or heterozygos.
- recessive : genetic trait that is not expressed when its allele is homozygous or heterzygous.
- heterozygous : an individual with 2 different alleles for a trait.
- homozygous : an individual with 2 identical alleles for a trait.
- Genotype : the genetic makeup of an organism or group of organisms with reference to a single trait, set of traits, or an entire complex of traits.
- Phenotype : the observable constitution of an organism.
